Meet QCPP requirements quickly by enrolling your staff into one of our hands on face to face training sessions at Guild House, Hawthorn.

During this 3 hour face to face session, students will receive and begin a ‘SIRCIND002 Support the Supply of Pharmacy Medicines and Pharmacist Only Medicines’ workbook with the aid of a qualified Guild Trainer.

Course outline

As part of the QCPP requirements all staff who supply Pharmacy Medicines and assist the pharmacist to supply Pharmacist Only Medicines must receive training via a recognised and accredited course. The unit SIRCIND002 Support the Supply of Pharmacy Medicines and Pharmacist Only Medicines meets this QCPP requirement.

On successful completion, students will receive a Statement of Attainment for this accredited unit.

Who should do this course?

All non-pharmacist staff involved in the supply of Pharmacy Medicines and Pharmacist Only Medicines. Pharmacy students who have completed their first year, are not required to complete this course.

What can you learn?

The role of a pharmacy assistant, including responsibilities and restrictions for handling over-the-counter medicines, the steps to identifying patient needs and providing advice, product recommendations, information and support under pharmacist supervision.

Course duration

As this is a single unit of study this course must be completed within 2 months. This will depend on the level of experience and knowledge of the learner.

Entry requirements

There are no formal entry requirements for this course. However students need to be employed in a community pharmacy.

Delivery method

This course is delivered via a facilitated training session and completion of the course workbook.  Students will be required apply their knowledge in store over a two week period before booking an verbal assessment with a trainer. A supervisors evidence report will also be required.
